Sharing the experience

As a high school teacher, sometimes projects get larger than class you're teaching. Such was the case recently when we were asked to create a billboard for our school's musical "Bye Bye Birdie". The sign was to be a welcome to the town of Sweet Apple.

Taking the request literally, the 8' x 16' double section (down the middle) billboard was designed by me in about an hour and painted by my classes in a single day. Who say's that high school can't be fun?

The process of completion

Well, the project mentioned earlier (Mexican Taco guy) went through some changes as most projects do when the client actually "see's" what they are thinking. Showing the owner of a restaurant as a rat may of been a good idea in conversation, but plastered all over a restaurant turns that cute logo into vermin. After a short discussion, the design became much more pleasing to the client and, eventually we believe, to all of the restaurant's future patrons.
