The process works...

Sometimes a project calls for a unique concept or sparks an idea that may work out but is a challenge to create. This was the case recently when I took on a project for Wyalusing high schools softball team. They wanted a poster that represented their softball team featuring their mascot the "RAM". In the concept sketch stage, I imagined a Ram who's body was a softball. The idea was tricky because of the round shape in a body that is primarily rectangular. This is what I came up with as a rough sketch of the idea.

The idea was rough, but with some refinements during the inking and the addition of other details, the image started to take shape. The color stage brought the image to life and this is the result.

Sometimes the process yields surprising results.
